Another year....

You know each and every year Christmas and New Year's seems shorter to me. Remember when you were a kid and the week between Xmas and new year's seem to feel like a month? You could play with your new toys, play in the snow, or even just goof off and it felt like forever.

Now, it's over before it begins - the weeks leading up to Christmas are the true Christmas nowadays. Yes, savour all the xmas cheer before the 25th of December because once that turkey is digested in your stomach on the 25th, your neighbour has probably already begun to take down decorations.

I want Christmas the way it use to be (at least for me) - December 18 - January 6 is Christmas - you don't work, you don't stress, you enjoy family and friends and good times.

Why must technology and evolution shorten our xmas every year?

AND FOR GOD'S SAKE, BRING BACK GARLAND AND ICICLES ON XMAS TREES!

At least those are my thoughts, not yours....

Blog It Up

I'm never one to want to put my own thoughts down on paper - I'm not that good of a writer and the pen and paper thing really isn't what today's world is all about.

A blog happens to be the best thing for me. I hope anyone who reads this (and I'm assuming not many will be intrigued daily to read my thoughts) will enjoy what comes from the mind of a simple person.

So mostly today my thought revolves around the weather in Alberta - really cold - too cold perhaps - there has to be some happy medium. I mean one day it's 8 degrees and the next it's -17 with a windchill of -29...and I thought the weather in Newfoundland was messed up.

Thanks for reading - this was my first post so I won't divulge too much. Stay safe (and warm if you live in Alberta)
